Co-Founder & Managing Director at Medica Hospitals Pvt Ltd, Mr. Rana Udayan Lahiry has more than 22 years of experience in healthcare management. He is a post-graduate from IIHMR Jaipur in Hospital and Health management followed by a brief stint at the school of public health, University of North Carolina. He worked as an intern at the university hospital there before returning and joining KLES Hospital, Belgaum as the Resident Administrator. He then joined the Asia Heart Foundation and was responsible for the Profit & Loss of Operations there and was instrumental in building one of the largest heart hospitals of the country in Kolkata called Rabindranath Tagore International Institute of Cardiac Sciences. This was followed by the Armenian Church Trauma Centre, and Rotary Narayana Sankara Nethralaya in collaboration with Sankara Nethralaya. In 2006, he left the Asia Heart Foundation to build Medica, one of the largest healthcare chains in eastern India with hospitals in Jharkhand, Siliguri, Odisha and Kolkata.
